Congratulations Monroe High School ESL Students

Congratulations to our English as a Second Language (ESL) students from Monroe High School for obtaining third place with their video “Education Will Help To”, at the State Contest “Stay in School Video/PSA Contest”, organized by the North Carolina Association of Professional Hispanics of (NCSHP). This was Monroe High’s fifth consecutive year taking home this award. The video was performed by seven students with the objective to encourage young Hispanics to stay in school until graduation.

The Federal Advisory Council meeting was held at the UCPS Professional Development Center on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. The Federal Advisory Council is composed of parent representatives from each Title I school, Federal Programs support personnel and Title I principals.
